Morgan Rushworth XE Fibre Laser Cutting Machines
The Morgan Rushworth XE compact fibre laser features a 1.5 x 3m electric powered table cutting area. Material can be easily loaded and unloaded outside of the machine enclosure, giving the option to load material by crane as well as manually.
Available with up to 6kW Laser Sources, these are highly capable, yet compact machines for any workshop.

How does the XE table arrangement work?
The XE uses a powered single pull-out table. The table can be brought out for loading and unloading rather than exchanging with a second pallet. This is a different workflow from a dual-shuttle laser, so compare the handling sequence as well as the purchase specification.
What sheet size can the XE process?
The XE is intended for nominal 3,000 x 1,500 mm sheets, with a published processing area of 3,060 x 1,530 mm. Check unusually sized material and the weight of a fully loaded table before purchase. The quoted machine configuration should define the usable working limits.
Should I select a 3 kW or 6 kW XE?
The XE is available with either source. Compare results on your normal material mix and thicknesses, including edge quality and the time needed to clear the single table. The better choice is the one that suits the full production cycle, not simply the highest available power.
Can the XE be loaded using lifting equipment?
The pull-out arrangement provides access for an appropriate sheet-handling method. The lifting equipment, sheet dimensions and safe access still need to be planned together. Show Selmach your proposed crane or handling arrangement so it can be considered in the installation layout.
Does a compact XE installation only need space for the enclosure?
No. Allow space for the table in its loading position, the sheet-handling route and operator access, as well as extraction and other services. Check a complete layout drawing rather than relying on the closed-machine dimensions when deciding where it will fit.
What control and programming package is listed for the XE?
The XE specification identifies MRT CNC control and mNest software, together with an mLase source and mCut head. Confirm the supplied software functions and licence in your quotation. A demonstration using a familiar drawing is a useful way to assess programming and job setup.
What should be agreed before an XE is commissioned?
Agree the electrical supply, assist gas, extraction, cooling, delivery access and sheet-handling method. Include operator training and the routine checks required for the chosen configuration. Planning these items together avoids treating a compact laser as a machine that needs no supporting equipment.
Can I arrange servicing and a Service Plan for the XE?
Yes. Selmach provides servicing and offers optional Service Plans for the XE. Ask us to quote a plan around your machine and production hours. Servicing frequency, support and call-out provision depend on the selected cover and agreed terms; a Service Plan is separate from the machine purchase unless expressly included.
