Morgan Rushworth XTE (2 Chuck) Compact Tube Fibre Laser
The Morgan Rushworth XTE Compact Tube Fibre Laser Cutting Machine combines intelligent automation, modular design, and high-speed tube processing. With ultra-fast automatic loading and the flexibility to switch between fully automatic and semi-automatic operation, the XTE range is available in three capacities to process round tubes from 8-120mm, 10-160mm, or 12-250mm diameter.
It adopts a side-mounted machine bed structure, with the front chuck featuring a retractable function. When combined with a composite dual-function chuck, it enables zero scrap cutting, thereby minimising material waste. Equipped with the PA Controller, and Lantek or Sigmanest software, the XTE is a highly capable machine for processing small tubes and box section.

What type of tube work should I consider the XTE for?
The XTE is a compact two-chuck tube laser with 3 kW and 6 kW choices. It is worth assessing for repeat tube and profile components where cutting several features in one setup could simplify fabrication. Use your actual sections and finished-part drawings to check suitability.
Why do XTE diameter limits change with the loader?
The published table gives different ranges for automatic and semi-automatic loading. For example, the larger variant lists 12-250 mm with automatic loading but 12-200 mm with semi-automatic loading. Confirm the complete machine-and-loader combination, not just the largest diameter shown anywhere on the page.
What is the difference between the XTE loading options?
A semi-automatic bundle step loader is listed, with a chain-loading option also available. The right choice depends on the stock shapes, batch sizes and changeovers in your workload. Specify how material will arrive at the machine and how much operator involvement is acceptable.
How much remnant does the XTE leave?
The XTE uses a clamping arrangement intended to minimise the end remnant, but actual yield depends on section, part lengths and the cutting plan. A zero-tail description should not be read as a promise of zero total scrap. Review a nest using your usual purchased stock lengths.
Can the XTE produce long finished components?
The range includes 6-metre and 7.5-metre raw-stock capacities. A 2-metre outfeed is listed as standard, with 4-metre and 6-metre alternatives. The outfeed and collection arrangement must suit the finished component; selecting a long infeed alone does not resolve this.
Which programming system is listed for the XTE?
The specification identifies a PA control with Lantek or SigmaNEST software arrangements. Confirm the actual package, licence and CAD import workflow in your quotation; the listing should not be interpreted as two complete software licences being included. Test representative tube and profile drawings during the review.
Can an XTE be specified for bevel cutting?
