A CNC press brake quotation should describe a production-ready package for your components. Two machines with the same nominal force and bending length can have different controls, gauging, tooling and support arrangements. That is why a single website price can be misleading.
Capacity and working envelope
Material strength, thickness, bend length and tooling determine required force. Stroke, daylight, throat depth and distance between columns determine whether partly formed components fit. Larger capacity is useful where the work needs it, but it should not replace an application assessment.
Configuration and preparation
The controller, controlled backgauge movements, crowning and any measurement system affect the package. Offline programming may require a particular licence, machine configuration and tooling library. Identify these items separately so you can compare the workflow being purchased.
A quotation for basic programme entry is different from one covering CAD import, sequence preparation and compatible offline transfer. Ask suppliers to demonstrate the required functions.
Tooling and handling
A general starter tool set may not cover deep boxes, short returns, hems or cosmetic components. Specify punch profiles, die openings, segments and clamping around your drawings. Identify followers or loading equipment where the component weight and handling require them.
Check whether installation access, floor requirements, power supply and unloading are included or remain your responsibility. Site preparation can materially change the total project cost.
Installation, training and support
Request delivery, positioning, commissioning, training and acceptance scope in writing. Confirm the warranty, exclusions, service options and software support. Include the number of operators and shifts that need training.
Selmach publishes Service Plan options separately. Discuss the applicable cover, utilisation and conditions for the machine being quoted rather than assuming every support feature is included in the purchase.
Obtain a PBXS quotation without a generic price
Morgan Rushworth PBXS is Selmach‘s premium CNC hydraulic press brake range. It is configured and quoted around the application. Provide your drawings, material range, maximum bend length, production pattern and required tolerances so Selmach can propose a relevant package.
If you have an investment allowance, share it as part of the enquiry. The team can assess which requirements and options need prioritising; a budget alone cannot establish suitability or a guaranteed package price.
Compare quotations fairly
Use the same component set and request an itemised scope: machine, controller, backgauge, tooling, software, handling, delivery, commissioning, training, warranty and ongoing support. Compare exclusions and annual commitments alongside the headline total.
Use our general CNC running-cost guide for the wider ownership calculation. Request a PBXS drawing assessment and quotation to establish the actual investment for your work.
