How to Adjust the Material Clamping System on a Steelworker FAQ

Bruce Bushnell demonstrating how to adjust the material clamping system on a steelworker

A very important adjustment on your steelworker shearing station is your clamp parts. If you’re changing the material thickness, you have to change the clamp parts. If you do not change the clamp parts to the thickness of the material, you can chip and damage the blade.

Loosen the clamp bolts. Raise/lower the clamp to sit 2-3mm about the material. Re-tighten the clamp- bolts. The material should be able to move freely.
